She was our Camp Mother for many years and had an impact on many generations of camp members in the camp as well as the Community. Her acalades are far to many to list here. Scholarships Merge into one

Exciting news, the Camp 14 Scholarship Program and ANB/ANS Camp 14 Mary Jones Scholarship has merged into one.

In 2016 the Mary Jones Scholarship, provided by ANB/ANS Camp 14, had splintered off and created the Camp 14 Scholarship Program. This was in addition to the Mary Jones Scholarship. The difference is, the Camp 14 Scholarship Program was created to work with the University of Alaska Southeast. They have created an endowment with UAS Southeast and it took 5 years for that endowment to mature. It is now self sustaining and the Camp 14 Scholarship Program is now ready to grow.

In order to grow, ANB/ANS Camp 14 and the Camp 14 Scholarship Program has agreed to merge into one. Still doing business as Camp 14 Scholarship Program, the organization now funds all of the following.

  • All UAS Scholarships that do not qualify under the endowment requirements
  • All other Colleges - not limited to University of Alaska
  • Trade Schools or Certificate Programs
  • Short term college courses, as an example, Welding or a language class
  • Sponsorship of other programs like Drum Making, Basket weaving, or Taxidermy
